2. Accessing VALT

  • Open a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari).
  • Enter the unique URL of your VALT system (https://valt.acadiau.ca/login). 
  • Log in with your credentials.

3. Home Screen Overview

The home screen acts as a dashboard, providing quick access to:

  • Rooms – View and manage rooms for observation and recording.
  • Recent Recordings – Access and manage the latest recordings.
  • Upcoming Schedules – View and edit scheduled recordings.
  • Reports & Announcements – View system reports and important updates.

4. Recording a Video

  1. Navigate to a room and press Start Recording.
  2. Manage recording options, including:
    • Pause/Resume – Temporarily stop and restart recordings.
    • Markers – Add searchable notes within the recording.
    • Sharing – Share access with users or groups.
    • Retention Settings – Set how long a recording is saved.
  3. Stop recording when finished.

5. Reviewing Recordings

  • Click on a recording to launch the video player.
  • Use markers to navigate to key moments.
  • Modify information, sharing, retention settings, and authorship.
  • Download recordings as MP4 or MP3 (audio only).
