Overview

How to set up a wireless connection (wi-fi) on a Chromebook or Android OS.

Instructions 

To connect your Chromebook or Android phone to the Acadia Wi-Fi network follow the steps bellow.  Please note that different versions of Android have different settings to this is a guideline only.

  1. Click the Wi-Fi symbol in the lower right corner of your screen


     
  2. Click the Wi-Fi symbol and select "Acadia"


     
  3. In the Join Wi-Fi network dialog box ake the following setting changes:
    • Security: EAP
    • EAP method: PEAP
    • EAP Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2
    • Server CA Certificate: Don't validate or Use system certificates
    • Online Certificate Status: Do not verify
    • Domain: acadiau.ca
    • Identity: <Your Acadia Username>
    • Password: <Your Acadia Password>
  4. Ensure that the "Save identity and password" toggle is enabled




     
  5. If you have Advanced or Advanced Options set Privacy or MAC address type to Use device MAC or Phone MAC.
  6. Click Connect
