If you decide to leave residence before the end of your stay, here’s what you need to do:

Steps to Withdraw from Residence

Email Residence Life
Send a written notice to residencelife@acadiau.ca saying you want to withdraw from residence. If you also want to cancel your meal plan, mention that in the same email.

Wait for Instructions
Residence Life will reply with:
- The date you need to move out by.
- Instructions on how to check out of your room properly.

Move Out and Check Out
Make sure to:
- Pack up and leave by the date they give you.
- Follow the check-out steps (they’ll explain what to do).

Refunds and Charges
- You may get a partial refund depending on when you leave.
- Any damage charges will be taken off your refund.
- Refunds follow a sliding scale (the later you leave, the smaller the refund).
