Body
If an organization (like a government agency, Indigenous band, or employer) is paying your tuition and fees, you are considered a sponsored student. There are a few steps you and your sponsor must follow each year.
š What You Need to Do
- Ask your sponsor to complete the Third-Party Billing Form.
- Email a scanned copy of the completed form to:
š§ student.accounts@acadiau.ca
- Make sure the form is submitted before the start of the term.
- A new form must be submitted each academic year.
šµ How Billing Works
- Student Accounts will invoice your sponsor:
- In October for the Fall term
- In February for the Winter term
- You are responsible for paying any fees not covered by your sponsor by the payment due date.
š Helpful Definitions
- Sponsored student: A student whose tuition and/or fees are paid by a third party (not the student or their family).
- Third-Party Billing Form: A form that gives Acadia permission to invoice your sponsor directly for your fees.
