All full-time undergraduate students at Acadia University are automatically enrolled in one of the two Acadia Students' Union (ASU) health and dental plans. 

  • Domestic Students: You are automatically enrolled in the Health & Dental Plan. 

  • International Students: You are automatically enrolled in the Medical & Dental Plan. 

Part-time students are not automatically enrolled, but they do have the option to opt-in to the plan. You would need to proactively enroll yourself and pay the fees. 

 

📚 Helpful Definitions 

  • Undergraduate Student: A student who is studying to earn their first degree (a bachelor's degree). 

  • Full-time Student: A student who is registered for a full course load (usually 3 or more courses per semester). 

  • Opt-in: The process of choosing to enroll in a plan you are not automatically part of.
