The International Medical Plan at Acadia University offers full medical coverage for international students who are not eligible for Nova Scotia’s MSI (provincial health insurance). Coverage includes:

• 🩺 Doctor visits – For illness, injury, or general health concerns

• 🏥 Emergency hospital care – Including ambulance services and overnight stays

• 🧪 Lab tests and diagnostics – Blood work, x-rays, ultrasounds, MRIs, and CT scans

• 💊 Prescription drugs – 100% coverage up to $3,000 per benefit year (with a $2 co-pay per prescription)

• 🧘 Practitioner services – Includes physiotherapy, chiropractic care, and mental health support

• ✈️ Travel and repatriation coverage – Emergency medical care while traveling and return-to-home support if needed

There’s no deductible or co-pay for most services, and coverage is valid throughout Canada.
