Students new to university often wonder how frequently they can visit the Writing Centre for help. This FAQ explains how often you can book appointments and why those limits exist.

You can book one appointment per day and up to two appointments per week at the Writing Centre.

This policy is designed to give you time to:

• Reflect on what you learned during your session

• Apply those skills to your writing before coming back for more help

• Build confidence and independence as a writer

The Writing Centre isn’t just about fixing grammar or spelling — it’s about helping you become a better writer for the long term. Tutors will guide you through structure, clarity, and writing strategies so you can improve your work on your own.

During especially busy times (like midterms or finals), the Centre may temporarily limit appointments to once per week so that everyone who needs help has a chance to book a session.
