Students often need help with specific courses beyond writing support. This FAQ explains how to access free and paid tutoring services at Acadia, and which subjects offer drop-in help.

If you’re having trouble in a specific course, Acadia offers several ways to get help:

🧑‍🏫 Course-Specific Tutoring:

• Contact the Acadia Tutoring Service for help in your subject

• Fill out the online request form or email tutoring@acadiau.ca

• The Tutoring Coordinator will connect you with available academic resources

💸 Paid Tutoring:

• If no free tutoring is available in your subject, you can request a private peer tutor

• Private tutoring is arranged through the Acadia Tutoring Service

• Note: Private tutors are not available during final exam periods (December and April)

🆓 Free On-Campus Tutoring:

• Math & Statistics: Drop-in help centre

• Physics: Drop-in help centre

• Chemistry: Monday night tutorials

• Information & Communication Technology (ICT): Software training and workshops
