Yes — students can be suspended from using the Writing Centre under certain circumstances.

You may lose access if you:

• ❌ Repeatedly miss scheduled appointments without canceling

• ❌ Harass or disrespect tutors or staff

If this happens, your access to the Writing Centre will be temporarily suspended. To have it reinstated, you’ll need to:

• Contact the Coordinator of the Writing Centre

• Show that the behaviour has stopped

• In some cases, offer a formal apology

The Writing Centre is a respectful, inclusive space where everyone is expected to treat tutors and staff with courtesy. These policies help protect that environment and ensure that all students can benefit from the service.
