Each Co-op work term at Acadia is treated as an academic course and appears on a student’s transcript with a Pass or Fail grade. Undergraduate students earn credit depending on when they began their first Co-op term. Graduate students do not receive credit toward graduation requirements.

Here’s how it works:

🎓 Undergraduate students:

• If your first Co-op work term started in Summer 2020 or later:

  • ✅ You’ll earn 2 credit hours per Co-op course

  • ✅ You can earn up to 6 credit hours total

  • ✅ These count as two elective courses toward graduation

• If your first Co-op work term started before Summer 2020:

  • ✅ You’ll earn 3 credit hours after completing three Co-op work terms

  • ✅ This counts as one elective course toward graduation

🎓 Graduate students:

• ❌ You do not receive credit toward graduation requirements

• ✅ Your Co-op work term still appears on your transcript as a Pass/Fail course
