How to setup a virtual private network (VPN) for Acadia


Use the following articles to learn how to setup a virtual private network (VPN) connection to securely connect to Acadia's resources from off-campus or remote locations.A virtual private network (VPN) extends Acadia's network across a public networks (Home, Coffee Shop, Free WiFi), and enables users to send and receive data across that public network as if their computing devices were directly connected to Acadia's network. Some services at Acadia are only accessible while locally connected therefore a VPN would be required to use when not on-campus. 

To install the VPN:
Select the operating system you are using:

Your Acadia password is required to view the following articles.

Windows (PC)
Mac (Apple)
Linux (Unix)


To Use:
Simply run the VPN program and connect using your Acadia username and password. Once connected use your computing device as you would on Acadia's local network.
