How to change the permission levels to a group

Manage Group Permissions 

This features is used to assign users to a permission group or change the permission levels of a permission group.

Members Access

Please ensure that members have the permission level of Contribute rather than Edit. This will help you maintain the integrity of your site.   

  1. On the top-level Web site of the site collection, click the Site Actions menu, and then click Site Permissions.
  2. Select the check box next to the group to that requires editing. 
  3. Select the Edit User Permissions button.

  1. In the Edit Permissions dialog box, check the name of the new permission level, and then click OK.
