Connecting Google Home devices

Due to the complexity of the setup of the Google's device on Acadia-DeviceNet is considered to be advanced level, and may not be achievable by all users and/or devices.

You must register your Google Home's hardware address (MAC Address) before it can communicate on Acadia-DeviceNet network.
As part of the setup process you must also temporarily register the MAC Address of your device that will run the Google Home app such as your phone or tablet.

IOS Devices: Users have reported problems retrieving the MAC address that is required for registering purposes. You may need to see Service Desk or borrow an Android based device to complete the "Getting your MAC Address of your Google Home" steps.

Please note: The device running the Google Home app will not continue to work on DeviceNet after the temporary registrations time has past, however the Google Home device will continue to work.
