How will I receive my scholarship, award, or bursary money? 💠 When do I get my scholarship money? 💠 How is my financial aid paid out? 💠 Will I get a refund if my scholarship covers all my fees?

Your scholarship, award, or bursary money will be deposited directly into your Acadia University student account. This is the same account used to pay for your tuition and other fees.

You’ll receive Financial Aid money in two instalments:

  • First instalment: September
  • Second instalment: January

The funds will automatically be applied toward what you owe the university (such as tuition or residence fees). If there's money left over after that, you may be able to receive a refund.

Helpful Definitions:

  • Student account = The account where your tuition, fees, and financial aid are tracked. This can be viewed by signing in using Colleague Self-Service.
  • Instalment = A portion of the total aid that is split into parts and applied to your university account at different times.
