If you need to store some of your belongings while living in residence—or over the summer if you're returning next year—you can use the trunk room. Here’s how it works:

Who Can Use It
- Any student living in residence during the academic year.
- Students returning to residence next year can store items over the summer.

How Much You Can Store
- 1 item (max 50 lbs) if your home is in the Maritimes.
- 2 items (max 50 lbs each) if you're from Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec, Ontario, or New England.
- 4 items (max 50 lbs each) if you're from anywhere else.

What You Can Store ✅ Allowed:
- Items in sealed storage containers
- Clean, defrosted and dry mini fridges
❌ Not Allowed:
- Furniture or carpeting
- Anything that could grow mold, fungus, or bacteria
- Anything flammable or that could start a fire

Label Everything Clearly Each item must be labeled with:
- Your full name
- Your home address
- Your Acadia ID number
- A brief description of the contents
- Your residence room number

Make an Appointment
- Access to the trunk room is by appointment only.
- Contact a Resident Assistant (RA) during duty hours to schedule a time.

Important Notes
- Residence Life staff will not lift or move items for you.
- Acadia University is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- You are responsible for insuring your belongings.
- Items not picked up by the end of September will be disposed of.
