If you're a new student, you're automatically marked as Advised in the system. This just means you're cleared to register for courses — it doesn’t mean you're already registered.
Here’s what you need to know:
✅ What “Advised” means
- Being Advised means you're allowed to register for courses.
- It does not mean you're already registered.
- It also doesn’t mean you’ve had an academic advising appointment — those are separate.
🗓️ What happens for new students
- Most new students are automatically marked as Advised.
- Depending on your program, you may already be pre-registered in some required courses (especially in Science or Professional Studies programs).
- You’ll still need to register yourself for any remaining courses, like electives.
