How can I get help with sexual health resources? 🔹 Is there a place on campus to get condoms? 🔹 Where can I find information about sexual health? 🔹 Does the university provide free birth control or products?

The Sexual Health Resource Centre (SHRC) is a free service provided by the Acadia Students' Union (ASU). Located in the Students' Union Building (The SUB), the SHRC offers a variety of products and resources in a confidential, non-judgmental, and safe space.

At the SHRC, you can get:

  • Free products: This includes internal and external condoms, menstrual products, and pregnancy tests.

  • Educational resources: Access a library of books, pamphlets, and information on topics like consent, healthy relationships, STIs, and more.

  • Workshops and programming: The SHRC hosts workshops on various sexual health topics throughout the year.

For more information, including the SHRC's current hours and how to contact them, you should visit the Internal Organizations section of the ASU website.

Helpful Definitions 💡

  • Confidential: This means that anything you discuss or request from the SHRC will be kept private.

  • Sexual Health: This is a broad term that includes your physical, mental, and social well-being related to sexuality and sexual relationships.

  • The SUB: This stands for the Students' Union Building. It's the central hub on campus where you'll find the ASU offices, various services, and the SHRC.
