Your Co-op work terms are scheduled based on when you enter the program โ€” and youโ€™ll work with a Co-op Coordinator to make sure the timing fits your degree and goals.

Hereโ€™s a general guide:

๐ŸŽ“ If you join Co-op at the beginning of second year:

  • ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Your first work term will usually be in the summer after second year

๐ŸŽ“ If you join Co-op at the beginning of third year:

  • ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Your first work term may be in the winter of third year OR

  • ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ The summer after third year

Youโ€™ll meet with a Co-op Coordinator to plan your timeline, choose work terms that fit your academic schedule, and explore opportunities that match your interests.

  • Work term: A 4-month paid job placement related to your field of study

  • Co-op Coordinator: A CEL staff member who helps you plan and manage your Co-op experience

  • Winter term: Typically January to April; Summer term: May to August
