Classroom Connection Guide

Getting Started

The system will automatically power on when a video source is connected.

Connecting Your Device

  1. Locate the HDMI cable – It is typically found at the instructor's desk or connection panel.
  2. Connect your device – Plug the HDMI cable into your laptop or other compatible device.
  3. Select the correct display output – If your content does not appear on the screen:
    • On Windows: Press Win + P and choose "Duplicate" or "Extend."
    • On Mac: Go to System Settings > Displays and select "Mirror" or "Extend."
    • On other devices, check the display settings.

Selecting HDMI Audio Output

If audio is not playing through the classroom speakers, follow these steps:

  • Windows:
    1. Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Sound settings" or "Playback devices."
    2. Under "Output", select the HDMI option (it may be labeled as the display name or "Digital Output").
    3. Click "Set as Default" if needed.
  • Mac:
    1. Go to System Settings > Sound (or System Preferences > Sound on older versions).
    2. Under "Output", select the HDMI option.

Using the System

  • Once connected, your content should appear on the classroom display with audio.
  • The system automatically adjusts to your video source.

Disconnecting

  • Unplug the HDMI cable from your device.
  • The system will automatically power off after a short period of inactivity.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected at both ends.
  • Try restarting your device if the display does not appear.
  • If needed, use an HDMI adapter compatible with your device.
  • If audio is still not playing, try unplugging and reconnecting the HDMI cable.
