How do I submit a claim for health or dental services 🔹 What do I do if I paid for a dentist or doctor visit 🔹 Where do I go to get money back from my student insurance

If your doctor, dentist, or other provider doesn’t offer direct billing, you’ll need to:

  1. 💳 Pay for the service upfront

  2. 🧾 Keep your receipt — you’ll need it to complete the claim

  3. 📄 Submit a claim for reimbursement through the 

    • Claims must be submitted within 1 year of service OR within 90 days after coverage terminates, whichever comes first

Here’s how to submit your claim:

  • 🖥️ Go to  and log in using your Acadia student info

  • 📂 Choose the correct claim form (Health, Dental, Vision, etc.)

  • 📝 Fill out the form and attach your receipt

  • 💸 If you want faster payment, complete the Direct Deposit Form

  • 📧 Email your completed forms to acadia@medavie.bluecross.ca or follow the mailing instructions on the form

Tip: For dental claims, you can ask your dentist to submit the form electronically using your Student VIP benefits card.

  • Student VIP: The insurance platform used by Acadia Students’ Union for health and dental coverage
