Pre-Installation Notes
Students are required to remove the software after leaving Acadia.
This will install Matlab onto your computer. After installation, a shortcut will be added to your Start menu and/or Applications folder.
You need to choose which MacOS installer to download, it depends on the model of laptop you have. You can find that information here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/116943
There are some prerequisites when installing in MacOS. If you choose the Apple silicon installer, you will also be prompted to download and install a Java Runtime.
Where to Download the Software
- Your professor will send a list of students who require access to Technology Services.
- Students will receive an email from MathWorks with an invitation to set up an account.
- Students enter their Acadia email address as the username then pick a password for their account. They will need this password to sign into Matlab later.
- Once signed in, select the download arrow to download Matlab.
Windows Users
- Go to your Downloads folder, double click the Matlab installer file and choose Extract All.
