How to setup the Outlook app on an iPhone/iPad

Overview

Use the Microsoft Outlook app to access your Acadia email and calendar on an iPhone or iPad.

Requirements:

• An active Acadia email account.

• An iPhone running iOS 26 or later, or an iPad running iPadOS 26 or later.

• An internet connection.

Note: Microsoft recommends Outlook for the best Microsoft 365 email experience on Apple mobile devices.

Instructions

1. Install Outlook

Download Microsoft Outlook from the App Store.

If you need to download the Outlook for iOS app, you can use the following QR Code:

2. Add your Acadia account

1. Open Outlook and tap Add Account.

2. Enter your Acadia email address:

   • Faculty and staff, including retirees: firstname.lastname@acadiau.ca

   • Students, including alumni and graduate students: username@acadiau.ca—for example, 1234567b@acadiau.ca

3. Follow the prompts to sign in with your Acadia password and complete multifactor authentication, if requested.

4. Skip adding another account unless you want to set up additional email accounts.

If Outlook suggests a different account: Tap Skip and enter your Acadia email address.

If you already use Outlook

1. Open Outlook and tap your account icon or the menu beside Inbox at the top left.

2. Tap Settings (the gear icon).

3. Select Accounts → Add Account → Email Account.

4. Enter your Acadia email address and follow the sign-in prompts.

Outcome

Your Acadia email and calendar are available in the Outlook app.
