Setup Office 365 email on Android

Due to differences in various Android versions and customizations of manufactures and end-users, this article is a general guide and may not match your phone exactly.

System Requirements:  tablets and phones running Android KitKat 4.4 or later.

  1. Pull down from the top and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Accounts.
  3. Tap Add account.
  4. Tap Work account (if Work account isn't an option, choose Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync).
  5. Enter your Email address and your Email password and tap Sign in.

Faculty and Staff (including Retirees):
Students (including Alumni):
Grad Students (including Alumni):, unless you opted to use your graduate email alias to also send email, in which case your username would then be your alias,

  1. Enter a description, such as Acadia or Office 365 and then tap Next.
  2. Confirm the sign in to your "" Exchange account using Microsoft by selecting Sign In.  You will be redirected to an Acadia University sign in page where you need to enter your password again.

PLEASE NOTE:  If you haven't set up your methods for SSPR (self service password reset) and MFA (multi-factor authentication), you will be prompted to do so at this time.  You can find information regarding that here:

If your setup asks for further information, this can be a sign of not being properly connected to the Internet and/or a timeout has occurred while configuring the account. It is recommended to confirm your Internet connection and setup your account again.

Additional Information that may be required:
Type of account:  Exchange, Office 365, or ActiveSync
Domain: Acadia

      5.  By default, Mail, Contacts, and Calendar information are synchronized. Tap Save.
