Microsoft Teams is a could-based collaboration platform within Microsoft 365. It is designed for hybrid work, team communication, and project management. It serves as a central hub integrating video meetings, persistent chat, file storage, and app integration to connect teams across Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.

A group chat that allows departments, project groups, or any other group to collaborate and connect easily. Get easy access to shared team documents and be able to edit and share with multiple people at a time. Access Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote and so much more, right from within Teams. 

Who can use this service

  • Teams is available to faculty, staff, and all students using your Acadia network credentials.
  • Guests (external to Acadia) can be invited to collaborate within a Team. 

Cost

  • Teams is included with your Microsoft 365 licence.

Availability/Installation

  • Teams is available for Windows and Mac as well as iOS and Android operating systems.
  • Teams can also be accessed via an Internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc.) at: https://teams.microsoft.com/v2/
  • Teams is included in the installation of Microsoft's Office 365. Instructions for installing Office 365 can be found here
