This offer is only available to current students, faculty and staff.

Install Office 365

Please note: It is strongly recommended to remove any previous versions of Office before attempting to upgrade your version of Office. Assistance in uninstalling Office can be found here.

  1. Visit the Office 365 portal site: http://portal.office.com and sign in with your Acadia credentials.
    • For Students: Use your student email address.
    • For Faculty and Staff: Use your email address - firstname.lastname@acadiau.ca
    • For Graduate Studies Students: Use your student email address, unless you opted to use your graduate email alias to also send email, in which case your user name would then be your alias, firstnamelastname@acadiau.ca.
  2. Click on "Apps" in the left column.
  3. Click on "Install apps / Microsoft 365 apps" in the upper right hand corner.
  4. Click on "Install Office".
  5. Save and run the OfficeSetup software from your downloads or another specified location of your choosing.

Manage your Installations

There is no longer a need to manage Office Installations. Microsoft will register the latest 5 installations of Office and de-register older installations on older devices. If you should want to access this information or would like to manually de-register a device that has been lost, follow these steps

  1. Visit https://myaccount.microsoft.com/device-list and log in (if not already logged in)
  2. Click on the arrow next to the device you'd like to disable
  3. Click on "Disable lost device"
