Troubleshooting
| Problem |
What to try |
| Windows cannot open the print server, or the Mac installer cannot connect |
Confirm that you are connected to Acadia’s campus network. If the problem continues, contact the Service Desk with the error message. |
| Your credentials are rejected |
Use acadia\username and your current Acadia password. Check the backslash and Caps Lock. |
| Windows asks for administrator credentials |
This is separate from signing in to the print server. Use administrator credentials for the computer |
| A Mac print job says “Hold for Authentication” |
Open the print queue and select the retry/resume button beside the held job. If prompted, enter acadia\username and your current Acadia password. |
| Printing stops after you change your Acadia password |
Authenticate again with your new password. If the Mac keeps using an old saved password, contact the Service Desk for help updating the saved printer credentials. |
| Secure-Print accepts the document, but nothing prints |
Secure-Print holds your document until you release it. At an accessible campus Konica Minolta device, tap your registered Acadia ID card or sign in with your Acadia username and password, then select your job. |
| The departmental printer is missing, or installation fails |
Confirm the printer’s name with your department. Contact the Service Desk if it is unavailable or a driver fails to install. |
Outcome
The printer is available in your application’s Print menu. Select it when printing; for Secure-Print, release your document at a campus Konica Minolta device.
