How to access Microsoft security account profile

Overview

The Microsoft  Account Portal provides an overview of your account settings as well access to update your verification settings that are required for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Self Service Password Reset (SSPR) updates. 

This article provides an overview of:

  1. Navigation to My Account
  2. Security info (My Sign Ins): create and update verification methods
  3. Password Update: change Acadia password
  4. Other functions within Portal.

Navigate to My Account Portal

  1. Sign in to your Office 365 account, using your existing password.
  2. Select your profile on the upper-right side, and then select View account.

Update Security Info

Security info methods are used for both two-factor security verification and for password reset. However, not all methods can be used for both. You will require at least 2 authentication methods. 

SECURITY VS PASSWORD RESET VERIFICATION 

Method 

     Used for 

Authenticator app 

Multi-factor verification and password reset authentication. 

Text messages 

Multi-factor verification and password reset authentication. 

Phone calls 

Multi-factor verification and password reset authentication. 

Email account 

Password reset authentication only. You'll need to choose another method for multi-factor verification. 

 

Update Password 

  1. Sign in to your Office 365 account, using your existing password.
  2. Select your profile on the upper-right side, and then select View account.
  3. Select Security & privacy > Password.
  4. Type your old password, create and confirm your new password, and then select Submit

Other Functionality

  1. Sign in to your Office 365 account, using your existing password.
  2. Select your profile on the upper-right side, and then select View account.
  • Security & Privacy: Personalize your account settings and see how your data is used
  • Devices: Disable a lost device and review your connected devices.
  • Organizations: See all the organizations that you're a part of.
  • My Sign-Ins: See when and where you’ve signed in and check if anything looks unusual
  • Office apps: Install and manage Office applications
  • Subscriptions: Licenses assigned to you
